Though it is something you have to directly opt-into on Steam to access, anyone can access Update 47 for Lethal Company. Keep in mind that it is experimental, so there could still be bugs with it. However, thanks to players who have already accessed it, we do have a clear idea of update 47.

Glitches are just a part of gaming, but there are different levels. The best are the helpful glitches that give you an unintended edge, but those aren’t great for multiplayer.

The worst is when a glitch only gives your opponent the edge, and only you suffer. Call of Duty Warzone is currently experiencing the latter in the new Urzikstan map that arrived with Season 1 that everyone should know about.

The Game Awards have been definitely giving up the goods this year, as one of this year’s biggest hits is set to collab with another water-based game. That’s right, Dave the Diver and Dredge will be combining forces in an experience coming Dec. 15. I definitely couldn’t think of two games I would rather mash together from this year than these two. The new content will be coming to PC as well as Nintendo Switch, and thankfully very soon.

The underwater 2D adventure will break the surface for 3D. You’ll get to pilot a fish trawler in a ship as you get to interact with new characters. There will still be plenty of diving, but Dave will have just as much reason to journey on land once more. It is definitely content being added to Dave the Diver rather than new Dredge content that brings in Dave which I think honestly works better.

2023 has seen plenty of PlayStation releases, and trophy hunters have been well-fed. However, there are certainly better games than others regarding easy (and fun trophies). We have looked through the games we have played and the trophies we have earned to bring you this list of the easiest trophies and platinum of 2023.

Dead Island 2

Dead Island 2 was a surprise hit, considering it came over a decade since the first game in the series. You get to choose between six characters, all with different playstyles. It not only gives you a lot of L.A. (Hell-A) to explore with a friend, but the trophies are also fun to unlock. Most come naturally as you adventure through zombie-infested streets and take out lots of zombies.

It has been a decade since the release of Grand Theft Auto 5, and fans are ready for whatever comes next in the franchise.

For the most part, Rockstar has been entirely silent on the next game, leading fans to do their own investigative work, and any possible leak or rumor spreads like wildfire. Though we still don’t know what GTA 6 will bring, there is a mountain of leaks and rumors to judge based on the likelihood of legitimacy.

The first big non-Battle Royale mode created for Apex Legends was Control, which premiered in Season 12 in February 2022. This mode introduced a similar take on Call of Duty’s Domination mode and saw two nine-player sides, each comprised of three squads.

It was a big team LTM (limited time mode) that used sections of maps in exciting ways and gave a break to players wanting something different.

Alan Wake 2 on PS5 takes advantage of the Dualsense controller’s haptics, similar to all games. It gets the haptic triggers for shooting and the usual even rumble for effects. However, the game also includes an extra setting I have never encountered before that all players should use.

This setting can be found in the Audio section called Dialogue Vibration Intensity, and it is set to off by default. What it does is that character dialogue, whether in cutscenes or just surrounding chatter while in towns, will cause the Dualsense to vibrate.

Alan Wake 2 on PS5

2023 has been an amazing year for sequels, especially sequels that have taken a decade or more (looking at you, Dead Island 2). Alan Wake 2 continues this trend and gives a unique experience wrapped up in familiar mechanics. The game doesn’t seek to reinvent the wheel but wants you to ride around and enjoy a hefty splash of that Remedy Entertainment charm.

The opening of the game feels like something out of Death Stranding. You play as a naked guy who washes up on a beach. I don’t mean a little bit naked; his ass is basically always in frame. For fun, I turned the ‘Show Nudity’ setting off and restarted the game to see what changed. It put the guy in some horrific, ratty underwear. So, honestly, I don’t know what’s worse. This is a short but memorable section, the least of all, because you must look at his naked body for important story stuff several more times after it ends.

October mostly succeeded by offering scary games, but the spooky season is already almost over. With that in mind, it’s time to look into the next round of free games. Nothing has leaked regarding the November games yet, but we still have our own ideas. We’ve gone through our own wishlists and the PlayStation store to bring you educated predictions on the next PlayStation Plus games. The official lineup should be revealed sometime around Oct. 26, as they are usually announced on the last Thursday of the month.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns

The last couple of years have been big for superhero games. Marvel’s Midnight Suns came right in the middle of Gotham Knights in October 2022 and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in October 2023. While those games are from two different comic giants, it proves that fans still hunger for superhero experiences. Gotham Knights was released onto the PlayStation Plus Catalogue in October 2023, and it’s only a couple of months older than Midnight Suns.

With the Phantom Liberty expansion and 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077 finished and released, developer CD Projekt RED announced that it is ceasing direct production on the game. While this means Cyberpunk 2077 is basically finished minus some future tweaks, it means CDPR is now starting work on the next game to use that universe. Though the end product of Cyberpunk 2077 is a terrific game, there is much potential to be explored with a sequel, and we have some big ideas.

With the massive news of CD Projekt RED teaming up with Anonymous Content for a live-action Cyberpunk 2077 project, things are getting exciting. As is the case with any video game, it’s easy to imagine actual actors and actresses playing these familiar roles. This is no exception, and there are obvious stars that would be a treat to see play iconic Cyberpunk roles.

As for V, it’s truly unclear if the male or female version of the character is going to be the choice here. Even with that uncertainty, there are terrific ideas either way. Before we get started, though, just a disclaimer that this is a wishlist, and there’s no guarantee that most or all of these characters will make it into the live-action adaptation.

Despite having new game plus and no level cap, players might be ready to play something else. If you’re looking to give that galaxy a break, we have gathered a list of other games with similar aspects for a smooth transition. These games have expansive and alien worlds, enjoyable combat, and entertaining stories.

The Outer Worlds

Probably the most similar game on this list is The Outer Worlds, as it is the most recent Bethesda RPG release prior to Starfield. You still get companions to fight with you as you grow your relationship with them. Just about everything at the core of Starfield can be found in The Outer Worlds. The biggest differences are the lack of space travel and that, while you visit several different planets, they aren’t quite on the same scale. Plus, with a sequel coming, you might as well try this out now.

Anyone who has played Apex Legends for a season — and sometimes even less than that — will undoubtedly know that the game has problems. Certain issues like hits not registering are claimed to be fixed, but creep back up as time passes. Again, this is just kind of what you accept as an Apex Legends player. And yet, a recent problem stemming from an event is still a little bit funny and frustrating.

The recent Harbingers Collection Event started on Sept. 19 and brought out a new Revenant-themed grenade called the Rev Shell. When thrown, it will travel in a straight line until it senses an enemy and then quickly change course to track them. They are hilariously persistent and provide a fun twist for the game’s Halloween event. The Rev Shell also factors into one of the event’s challenge badges that required players to deal 1,000 damage with them.

Fortnite’s newest chapter has introduced a brand new throwable called the Shield Breaker EMP grenade. This handy grenade is great against enemy cars, the new Business Turret, and also does decent against enemy shields. However, their use isn’t only confined to combat purposes.

Notable dataminer iFireMonkey has revealed that there is an even more beneficial use that players might not have expected. Players can use these grenades against the game’s many vending machines as a way to get free gold bars. Not just a couple, either. Hitting a vending machine with an EMP will drop amounts as low as 50 and as high as 150 per grenade.

While it’s hard to say if this year has been above or below average for video game release date delays, there have definitely been quite a few. This can be attributed to many factors, but it still stings when a game you look forward to gets pushed back. It can also be difficult to keep track of the many game delays we have had, so we have created a list to help you keep track.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League provides a twist to usual comic book stories by making everyone’s favorite heroes the villains. While usually, the Suicide Squad is sent on smaller missions, this time, they must free Metropolis from a Justice League turned bad. This means fighting the Man of Steel and Batman directly.

Remnant 2 has proven to be a massive hit since launch, and players are scouring the game to find all the secrets. While the game is rather unique, players who are finishing it up and looking to move on to the next game have quite a few options. We have gathered a list of video games similar to Remnant 2 that might scratch a similar itch.

Remnant: From the Ashes

This one might feel a little bit like an obvious choice, but there’s a definite chance that not everyone was aware of the first one before the sequel blew up. There’s a decent amount of crossover between the two games, as the Ward 13 characters are in both.

I was a massive fan of Remnant: From the Ashes because too many third-person shooters attempt to borrow Soulsborne ideas with poor execution. The first Remnant offered something unique in a campaign full of planets you could reroll at any time, wiping the slate clean and starting over. Remnant 2 carries the ideas of the first game forward in meaningful evolutions.

Remnant 2 starts with your created character walking through a post-apocalyptic Earth with your best friend Cass. You are on the search for Ward 13 but aren’t sure the concept isn’t just an urban legend. After a trek too far into Root territory, you are both set upon and overwhelmed by enemies.

While Fortnite has made plenty of merchandise deals, this new one is more specific to music fans. Epic Games is teaming up with Iam8bit to produce a Best of the Lobby vinyl. It will feature 18 Fortnite lobby tracks that players have been rocking out to while waiting for matchmaking to start. However, we noticed it doesn’t include the lobby tack ever made: Llama Beat (also called Llama Bell).

While we’re still a bit away from the spooky season, it’s never too late to prepare for it. If you’re a fan of horror games or want a gaming experience that will keep you on your toes, the PS5 library has some solid choices. It might be hard to sort through the PlayStation Store if you aren’t looking for something specific, so we have gathered a list of the top 10 best horror games the PS5 offers.

The Quarry

This spiritual successor to Until Dawn takes players to a remote summer camp deep in the woods of Hackett’s Quarry. The start of the game teases a monster on the campgrounds and then fast forwards to the last day of camp. Due to one counselor’s wish for his summer fling to continue, their transport is sabotaged. This strands the counselors overnight at the camp without knowing what awaits them when the sun goes down.

Aliens: Dark Descent for PS5

Aliens is one of those properties that has been adapted into all sorts of games. There’s been survival horror, a third-person shooter like Left 4 Dead, and an underwhelming first-person shooter. Tindalos Interactive sought to try something new by crafting a squad-based real-time strategy game that works incredibly well in the universe.

The story starts with a small act of sabotage aboard Pioneer Station. Someone posing as an engineer knocks out a worker at a terminal and opens several containers housing Xenomorphs and their eggs. Deputy Administrator Maeko Hayes is the first to notice something is amiss. She arrives at the hangar as a vessel tries to leave the nearby planet Lethe’s orbit, presumably carrying dangerous Xemomorphs onboard.
