At long last, the trailer for Destiny 2’s 23rd Season, Season of the Wish, has been released. Guardians are returning to the Dreaming City once more to aid Mara Sov and The Crow in making a deal with what appears to be Riven, the last Ahamkara whom we slayed during the Forsaken DLC. That said, other information was released, so today, we’re discussing everything new that was revealed for Destiny 2’s Season of the Wish.

Mara Sov & The Crow Return

Right at the beginning of the trailer, we see the return of Mara Sov & The Crow, who has been absent since the Season of Defiance earlier this year, alongside Petra Venj. Given that the location of the Season seems to mainly take place in the Dreaming City, it’s only fitting we see these three iconic characters from the Forsaken DLC come together once more to deal with Riven and her eggs.

It seems the Crucible Strike Team have been hard at work and continue to do so even amidst troubles at Bungie. Thankfully, Season 23’s massive list of crucible tweaks and changes are a step in the right direction for the PvP community.

Bungie’s Crucible Strike Team has continued to work diligently to satisfy the needs of their community. 10. Sealed Ahamkara Grasps

Perk-wise, these gauntlets give you the ability to reload your weapon whenever you deal melee damage. You might think that as a Strand Hunter, these would work well with the Hunter’s homing Threaded Spike melee. In one of the most turbulent times for Destiny 2, next year’s new content needs to bring some confidence and joy back to the playerbase. Let’s explore 10 things Destiny 2’s next roadmap needs above all else.

With the recent revelation that the upcoming Final Shape DLC for Destiny 2 will be delayed from February 2024 to June 2024, Destiny 2 players brace themselves for an impending seven-month-long Season. Normally I’d be okay with this to ensure the quality of the DLC is better than what we got with the Lightfall DLC, but with no content announcements for February and beyond, Bungie needs to crack open the DCV (Destiny Content Vault) now more than ever to ensure they keep player retention before The Final Shape arrives.

Season 22, Season of the Witch, ends on Tuesday, Nov. 28, less than four weeks from now. When it ends, Season 23 (we don’t know the name of it yet) will begin. Instead of running until late February when the Final Shape would originally launch, it will now last until the beginning of June, taking the throne as the most extended Season ever in the Destiny franchise.

So many talented people have lost their jobs at Bungie at the hands of corporate greed. Let’s discuss how Sony forcing Bungie layoffs is the exact opposite of what should be happening.

On the 30th of October 2023, the gaming community at large began to hear that Bungie was laying off some of its staff. These kinds of things happen sadly, and often depending on the studio and their success. What rubs me the wrong way here is that it’s Bungie suffering the layoffs. We’re talking about a many multi-million-dollar successful developer suffering layoffs, under the watch and support of Sony—a multi-billion-dollar company.

Endless Creativity in the Hands of Players is Always Good

As players easily and quickly consume each season’s content, a mode in which players could make their own would be ideal. Most players tend to grind Destiny 2’s PvE content, so it just makes sense for there to be a way to expand upon that. Additionally, this would be a two-fold benefit for players. They not only get to enjoy a nearly infinite amount of new content, but the time spent making such creative set pieces can be enjoyable in itself!

Recently, Bungie announced that, at long last, all Sparrows in Destiny 2 will be set to the same speed as the Always On Time Exotic Sparrow starting in Season 23. That means we can finally use whatever Sparrows we want without feeling forced to use Always On Time due to its higher speed. 10. Otherside
