Though The Finals is a relatively new game in the multiplayer FPS genre, it has garnered plenty of attention. In its current state, that popularity has led to some instability. If you’re having trouble playing The Finals, there are a few easy ways to check the game’s current status.

Are The Finals Servers Down?

Developer Embark Studios dropped the holiday update as well as the 1.4.0 patch on Dec. 20, and things have been a little rocky since. As the game lacks a Downdetector page, it’s a little harder to get a read on reports, but plenty of Twitter users are saying The Finals has gone down on Dec. 22 at 4:30 PM ET. The official Twitter account has yet to make any comments, but if you are currently unable to play, it’s all on the game and nothing you can really fix.

The Finals has only been out since Dec. 8, so it’s reasonable to expect a little instability in its first month. Hopefully official server report pages start popping up to get a solid read on things. If the developers acknowledge problems, we will be sure to update this guide.

How to Check The Finals Servers

Though The Finals has been fully released, there are still not a lot of established places to check on the game’s status. Your best bet for a first stop would be the official Twitter account for The Finals. A good secondary source would be Embark Studios’ Twitter Page. If anything goes majorly wrong with the game or its servers, either of these will likely be how the developers reach out.

As the game is still relatively new, it hasn’t yet gotten a foothold on tracking sites like Downdetector. We keep looking out for that, but it shouldn’t be too long until it pops up.

Hopefully, this helps you keep track of The Finals server status to keep you earning skins. If you experience any error codes or further issues, please let us know in the comments.
